This facility has been provided to primarily allow our Ratepayers to search and supply corrections to the Ratepayer information held in Council. Currently the information includes Legal Property, address and Valuation, there are also aerial photography and topographic layers available

Note: The Layers available are set up in zoom layering.

What this means is that most of the layers are turned on, but will only become visible depending upon the zoom level you are currently at in the Map. This will become clear as you utilise the system.

The layers that are currently turned on, but are currently not visible are denoted by a Red exclamation point.

If you are having any issues with the mapping system or are not sure how to use it, please use the help Information. Help Information is available via the main mapping page (Bottom Left) and directly here Help

There are a few settings that you need to be aware of aswell. I have outlined these below.

A pop up window that contains the Map to be printed should appear, when you are ready to print on your local printer. Click on "File" on the Internet Explorer toolbar then Click on "Print".

Welcome to Ashburton District Council Online Gis Mapping.

If the popup print window does not contain the Map image and instead has a Red X or an error message then you may need to alter the way that Internet Explorer is using live caching of Internet files.

You need to make sure that Internet Explorer is set to "Automatic" or "Every time you start Internet Explorer" for file caching.

To set the cache follow these instructions. From within an open and active Internet Explorer window.

You should only need to change these settings if you or another application has altered the Internet Explorer Defaults.
